Support service for ATHENA mission
On 5th of November Guizzo Space acquired a new service activity commissioned by Max-Planck-lnstitut für extraterrestrische Physik in Garching Munich.
The service activity consists in the provision of the FMECA analysis of the Frame Processing Module (FPM). The FPM is a relevant electronic module of the Wide Field Imager (WFI) which is one of the two scientific instruments proposed for Athena space mission.
Athena is a large satellite mission selected to address the “Hot and Energetic Universe” science theme identified by European Space Agency with launch foreseen in the early 2030.
WFI will provide imaging in the 0.2-15 keV energy band over a wide field, simultaneously with spectrally and time-resolved photon counting.
Guizzo Space is proud to provide supporting services for the most demanding space projects.
